Coding Update Preparedness Checklist

Each year, new codes (ICD-10s, HCPCS, CPTs) are released and Medicare grouping and reimbursement logic is altered (IPPS, OPPS, etc.).  These changes can have significant impact on reimbursement and drive downstream impacts into the revenue cycle, some of which can be hard to track through to revenue impacts. This is a quick checklist of tasks involving staff education, technology updates, and workflow adjustments Cloudmed considers when changes are released.
